Founding Engineer

RampOS is building the operating system for revenue ramp. We’re an early-stage startup designing a modern platform that helps companies onboard and upskill revenue teams with speed, structure, and clarity. We’re hiring our first engineer… a senior full-stack builder who wants to shape a category-defining product from the ground up.

The Role

As the founding engineer, you’ll own major portions of our architecture and product surface. You’ll work directly with the founder to translate product requirements into clean, scalable systems and bring version one of the platform to life. This role blends hands-on development with high-impact technical decision-making. Initially, the work will lean heavily toward backend engineering… roughly 80% backend, 20% frontend.

What You’ll Do

• Design and implement core platform features across the stack
• Architect foundational systems for a modern, multi-tenant SaaS product
• Build reliable, high-performance front-end and back-end components
• Own code quality, testing patterns, and deployment workflows
• Establish engineering standards, documentation, and dev-ops best practices
• Collaborate closely with product and leadership to define technical priorities and roadmap
• Help shape our engineering culture and influence future hiring

What You Bring

• 5–10+ years experience building and shipping production SaaS or complex web applications
• Strong proficiency with React, TypeScript, relational databases, and modern backend frameworks
• Experience designing scalable architectures, API patterns, and data models
• Comfortable owning full product surfaces from concept to production
• Ability to thrive in an early-stage environment with high autonomy and rapid iteration
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
• Interest in setting technical direction and contributing at a strategic level

Nice to Have

• Experience with Next.js, Supabase/Postgres, Prisma, or similar technologies
• Background in B2B SaaS, LMS/LXP, or workflow/enablement platforms
• Experience with role-based access, multi-tenancy, or complex information flows
• Previous early-stage or founding team experience
